Petaling Jaya SS9

These areas are also known as Sungei Way. Primarily residential they contain many community facilities such as a wet market, cinema, schools, police station and Balairaya. Commercial activity centres on Jalan SS9/1 where car repair shops are common. Surrounding areas are a mix of industrial and residential uses. Immediately west and east are the industrial/business centres, SS8 and Section 51A respectively. Major players in these areas include Matsushita, Motorola, Western Digital, Malaya Acid Works and Cycle and Carriage Industries. To the north is residential SS1, which has much high quality housing and beyond is the residential heartland of Petaling Jaya. There are schools in SS1, SS3, SS5, a mosque in SS1 and a surau in SS3. Proximity to the Federal Highway ensures good access to all parts of PJ, KL and the LDP.
