Petaling Jaya SS5

SS5 is a large residential component of PJ. There are total of 2197 units of houses in SS5, comprising bungalow and terraced housing. There are a number of neighbourhood parks and schools. Wisma KISM, Wisma FAM and Kompleks and Hostel Jemaah Haji are situated in SS5.

Facilities in neighbouring areas include mosques and suraus in SS3 and SS4 including a mosque directly across Jalan Majlis in SS3, a post office in SS6 and schools in SS3 and SS4. Next to SS5 is SS6, which contains commercial and business / industrial premises including Glomac and Yamaha Music and the Kelana Parkview commercial area. A Giant Supermarket is also in SS6. A short distance to the South, via the LDP, are the major factory plants Motorola and Matsushita. West of the LDP are the Kelana Jaya recreational facilities. These include tennis courts, swimming pool, a large park FAS football field, where the Selangor state footballers train. Also found here is the famous Kelana Jaya Seafood Restaurant and the Kelana Medical Centre and a small business area including the MAS Training Centre. To the southwest, next to Federal Highway is the prestigious Kelab Golf Negara Subang. SS5 is directly linked to the LDP and the major thoroughfares ensure speedy connections with the Federal Highway and all parts of PJ, Kuala Lumpur, Subang and Klang and the North/South Highway.
