Petaling Jaya SS20

SS20, also known as Damansara Kim, is a residential area bounded by the commercial/business/ residential areas SS2, SS20 and Taman Tun Dr Ismail, KL. There are few explanations on the name "Kim" attached after Damansara for SS20. One story has it that the scheme was named after the developer, Dato Tan Lai Kim. Another says it derives from the Chinese word for "gold" which is "Kim". Housing comprises a mixture of link units and well set bungalows in a pleasant and quiet environment. Supporting amenities include a commercial parade along Jalan SS20/11 and a hospital on Jalan SS20/10 close to a hawker stall centre. A school, Damasara Utama is found in the centre on SS20 on Jalan SS20/1.

SS21 can be accessed via an overhead bridge crossing the LDP. Facilities in neighbouring areas include a mosque in SS21 and a surau in Taman Tun. A number of facilities including a school, parks and a major commcercial and entertainment centre, Uptown, are found in SS21. In Taman Tun there is a pasar, community hall and school. There is also a commercial centre in Taman Tun where IBM's Malaysian corporate headquarters is situated. A short distance west is 1-Utama, a major shopping mall and the commercial centre in SS2 is close. SS20 has immediate access to the LDP, which ensures quick and convenient movement to the Bandar Utama, Bangsar, Damansara and to KL. There is good access to the Federal Highway and easy links to all parts of PJ using the LDP and other thoroughfares. A feeder bus from Taman Bahagia LRT station runs thorugh SS21. Closeby is the North/South Highway accessed via Jalan SS21/64 and Jalan Damansara.
