Petaling Jaya Section 7

Along with Section 52. Section 7 forms the local government hub of PJ. Major landmarks include a state of the art Civic Centre?s Auditorium, Menara Choy Fook Onn and Menara PKNS. Also located within Section 7 are Menara MPPJ, Petaling Jaya Police HQ, Malaysia Cooperative College, IJM Building and Balai Bomba. In the south around Maktab Kerjasama are a number of well-set bungalows. There is a petrol station on Jalan Selangor.

An interesting point worth noting are the road names. Jalan Bukit Menteri Utara and Jalan Bukit Menteri Selatan were known as streets where the "minister" stayed. In recognition the contribution of the late Mr. Yong Shook Lin to PJ, the road fronting MPPJ headquarters was named after him. Adjacent to Section 7 is 'The State', a sizeable commercial district with many restaurant and entertainment outlets. Other amenities in neighbouring sections include schools (Sections 4 and 8), colleges in Section 52, temples and churches (Sections 4 and 6) and a mosque is located in Section 3. Two shopping malls, Armada and Amcorp Mall, are located nearby in Section 52. The southeast edge of Section 7 faces Assunta Hospital and close by in Section 5, is Bukit Gasing, one of the few remaining areas of secondary forest in PJ with superb views over KL and Klang Valley. To the southwest lies Section 51, a major industrial and business centre of PJ. There are good road links to the Federal Highway and major thoroughfares permit speedy access to all parts of PJ. To the north is Taman Jaya LRT station and a feeder bus links this to Section 7.
