Petaling Jaya Section 6

Section 6 is a purely residential area, located east of 'PJ New Town' (also known as 'The State'). The major landmark is Wisma Yan, which is found at the western edge of the Section and the famous Lotus Indian Restaurant food is located along the Jalan Gasing. The official residency of the Mayor of Petaling Jaya also situated in this peaceful residential area. Core housing comprises 326 bungalow units. Other housing includes 150 semi-detached units and 41 link houses. Petrol stations are located on Jalan Changgai. Amenities located in adjoining and easily accessed Sections include schools (Sections 3, 5 and 9); temples and churches (Sections 4 and 5); a mosque (Section 3); MPPJ municipal buildings in Section 7; and a sizeable commercial district with many restaurant and entertainment outlets in Section 52. Close by in Section 5 is Bukit Gasing, one of the few remaining areas of secondary forest in PJ with superb views over KL and Klang Valley. Section 6 is directly linked to the Federal Highway and major thoroughfares provide speedy links with all parts of PJ. South of Section 6 lies Jalan Templer KTM station beyond which is Jalan Klang Lama which provides a good connect between Kuala Lumpur, Subang and Klang. North of Section 6 in Section 52 is Taman Jaya LRT station.
