Petaling Jaya Section 52

Section 52 is known as 'New Town' or 'The State' and forms the heart of PJ: physically it is the center of PJ and it is home to many of the major educational, community, financial and local government and shopping facilities in PJ. The Hilton Hotel, perhaps the most famous landmark in PJ is in Section 52 along with Armada Shopping Complex (including Armada Hotel), Amcorp Mall, Astaka Sports Complex, Stamford College and Rima College, Pejabat Haiwan, Menara MPPJ, Hotel Singgahsana, Nestle House, Crystal Crown Hotel, Shah Motel and Tun Hussein Onn Eye Hospital and Selangor Children's Spastic Association Centre.
The A&W restaurant is believed the first drive-in fast food restaurant in Malaysia. There is a core commercial area located along the southern edge of Section 52 containing a large number of shoplot commercial enterprises. Government departments in Section 52 include PKNS, National Registration Department, National Chemistry Department, National Productivity Centre, PJ Magistrate Building, JPJ and the Vetinerary Department. Via Jalan Utara, Jalan Timur and Jalan Barat, there is quick access to the Federal Highway and all parts of PJ with close proximity to the residential Sections 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12; commercial and residential Section 14; and the industrial Section 51A. Assunta hospital in Section 4 is also nearby and Taman Jaya Park borders Section 52 to the east. Schools are located in bordering Sections 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12. Muslim, Christian, Hindu and Buddhist religious buildings can be found in Sections 10 and 14. Immediately south is Section 7, which contains many MPPJ municipal buildings including the Dewan Sivic.
To the north lies Section 13, which is the predominant business and corporate address in PJ and home to many prestigious Malaysian and foreign businesses such as Colgate Palmolive, Dutch Baby Milk, Aluminium Company of Malaysia and Philips. Taman Jaya LRT is located in Section 52 and a feeder bus service also links this area to Asia Jaya LRT. Section 52 is adjacent to the Federal Highway ensuring good linkage with Klang, Shah Alam and Kuala Lumpur and the major thoroughfares provide speedy links with all parts of PJ.
