Petaling Jaya Section 51A

Section 51A, together with Section 51 (located across the Federal Highway) forms the core industrial center of PJ for national and multi-national corporations. Companies with a major presence include Malaysia Acid Works, Cycle and Carriage Industries, Johnson Suisse (previously named as Armitage Shanks), Rank O'Connor, Malaysia Oxygen, Crystal Plaza and Fima Metal Box. One of the oldest settlements in PJ, Kampung Baiduri is located here next to the well known Dato' Haji Kamuruddin mosque.

Located at the north end of Section 51A is MPPJ Crematorium and adjacent a Chinese Crematorium. These are located opposite the cemeteries in Section 22. Stamford College has a presence in Section 51A. Areas surrounding Section 51A are primarily residential providing a worker hinterland for businesses. Within these areas are facilities such as schools, mosques, churches, temples, Post Offices, Police Stations and commercial outlets. Assunta Hospital is located in Section 4, across the Federal Highway. Nearby in Section 52 are major hotels: the Hilton Hotel, The Crystal Crown Hotel, Armada Hotel and Shah Motel. Other hotels in the area include PJ De Inn in Section 8 and Lisa De Inn in Section 19. Section 51A is bounded to the north by the LRT rail line and Asia Jaya LRT station. There is quick access to the Federal Highway and close proximity to the residential sectors, SS9, SS9A, SS1 and Section 22. Jalan Baiduri, Jalan 222 and Jalan 225 ensure speedy access to all parts of PJ.
