Petaling Jaya Section 51

Section 51, together with Section 51A (located across the Federal Highway), forms the core industrial center of PJ. Companies with a major presence include Soon Seng Industries, Johnson and Johnson, ICI Paints, Dunlop, KL Glass, APMC, Kimball, Lam Soon and 'The Sun' newspaper.

The Highway Centre and JBA and PKNS workshop and store are located here. Located immediately across the Federal Highway is the complementary industrial sector, Section 51A. Areas surrounding Section 51A are primarily residential providing a worker hinterland for businesses. Within these areas are facilities such as schools mosques, churches, temples, Post Offices and commercial outlets. Of particular note, Assunta Hospital is located in Section 4, which lies adjacent to Section 51. Nearby in Section 52 are major hotels: the Hilton Hotel, The Crystal Crown Hotel, Armada Hotel and Shah Motel. Other hotels in the area include PJ De Inn in Section 8 and Lisa De Inn in Section 19. Close by in Section 7 are the MPPJ municipal buildings. There is quick access to the Federal Highway and immediately to the south of Section 51 is Dato' Harun KTM station. Section 52 is adjacent to the Federal Highway ensuring good linkage with Klang, Shah Alam and Kuala Lumpur and the major thoroughfares provide speedy links with all parts of PJ.
