Petaling Jaya Section 14
Section 14 is one of the largest and most populous parts of PJ. The landmarks in Section 14 are Jaya Shopping Centre, Metrojaya and Tun Abdul Aziz mosque.
Development consists of residential units with supporting commercial facilities.
There are approximately 1658 units of terraced housing and 456 units of well set bungalow housing. There are two comdominium complexes, Apartment Manara Jaya and Merara Bakti, the latter located above Metrojaya. |
Section 14 is well known for its shopping area, which features retail outlets such as Metrojaya and Jaya Shopping Centre. There is also a covered market, number of food outlet such as KFC, McDonalds, Angel Cafe House, Deli France, Sushi King and TGI's. Tun Abdul Aziz mosque is located at the northern tip of Section 14 and there are a number of neighbourhood parks.
In adjoining sectors there are schools (Section 51A and 12), mosques and temples (Section 16 and 51A) and Universiti Hospital is a short distance away close to Universiti Malaya. The southwestern edge nestles besides scenic Taman Aman Park where Taman Paramount LRT station is located.
To the north across Jalan Semangat is Section 13, which is the predominant business and corporate address in PJ and home to many prestigious Malaysian and foreign businesses such as Colgate Palmolive, Dutch Baby Milk, Aluminium Company of Malaysia and Philips. Immediately south is Section 51A, an important business/industrial area home to businesses such as Avon, Amway and Cycle and Carriage. |

Section 52 lies southeast and contains retail shopping malls, schools, a church and important MPPJ municipal buildings. The Hilton, Crystal Crown and Armada hotels are also located in Section 52.
There is excellent access to the Federal Highway, which runs close to the southern edge and the major thoroughfares ensure speedy access to all parts of PJ. |
