Petaling Jaya Section 13

Section 13 is the prime business and corporate district in Petaling Jaya. There are a total of 78 industrial lots. Many major corporations are located here and landmarks include Sin Chew Jit Poh, Star, Colgate Palmolive, Philips and Dutch Baby Milk Industries. The area is currently in transition from traditional manufacturing to office/showroom related developments. This is particularly prominent alongside the major roads of Section 13. The surrounding areas of PJ are predominantly residential and act as an employment hinterland. These areas contain appropriate ancillary features such as schools, religious buildings, shopping outlets and centres, clinics and recreational facilities. A very short drive away is Section 52, a major hub of PJ. Located here are the the Hilton, Crystal Crown, Armada and Shah Motel hotels. Other facilities found in Section 52 include shopping malls, MPPJ municipal buildings and the Tun Hussein Onn Eye Hospital. Across Jalan Semangat, in Section 14, is Tun Abdul Aziz mosque and major retail outlets, Jaya and Metrojaya as well as a market and post office. Section 13 is well positioned for access to the Federal Highway, LDP, SPRINT Highway and the North/South Highway. The major thoroughfares enable speedy access to all parts of PJ.
