Petaling Jaya Section 10

Section 10 is a residential area and is noted for the presence of numerous religious buildings. The most famous landmark in this area is Taman Jaya park. A major landmark next to the transmission line, Menara TNB is visible from the highway.
Similar residential areas (Sections 5, 9 and 11) enclose Section 10 to the north, east and south. These sections contain facilities similar to those present in Section 10: schools (Sections 5, 10 and 52), colleges (Section 52), temples and churches (Sections 5, 6,and 10). A mosque is located a short distance away in Section 3. In contrast Section 52 is dominated by institutional and retail elements. There are two shopping malls, Armada and Amcorp Mall, the latter across from Taman Jaya park and a sizeable commercial district known as 'The State'. Many MPPJ municipal buildings are located here as are the Hilton Hotel, Crystal Crown Hotel and Shah Motel and Bowling. Close by, in Section 5, is Bukit Gasing, one of the few remaining areas of secondary forest in PJ with superb views over KL and Klang Valley. A famous destination for environmentalists is the MPPJ Environmental Education Centre located at the heart of Taman Jaya Park. The TREE recycling centre is also located here. There is also a path of bold stone to aid foot reflexology.
Section 10 is adjacent to the Federal Highway and major thoroughfares ensure speedy access to all parts of PJ. Taman Jaya LRT station lies across Jalan Timur.
