aarrgghh u got us all wrong.... we are mostly sober celibates trying our damndest to sound like old blue eye or maybe Ella Fitzgerald! It'll be fun, just think in terms of it as a free stress test for your hearing with the bonus of free smokes thrown in (2nd hand smoke) so you shouldnt complain too much! kakaka!
alamaks! forget about sleeping early lar.... optimal sleep time is still an indeterminate factor in the science of hypertrophy and the jury is still out as to whether one can really gain an extra 1.37 cm on the biceps if one sleeps and extra 21.83 minutes everyday for a month! |

I believe an emerging study conducted by someone who cares about hypertrophy shows that you can increase 0.37cm bicep size by an extra 2.34792 minutes of sleep in a period of 2 weeks. |

Despite all the advances made in the medical sciences we are now seeing more cases of sudden death syndrome than ever before. Very fit professional footballers in their 20's dying during matches, athletes kicking the bucket on the tracks and dont tell me these people have no access to the latest sports sciences.
Cant remember where I read but it seems that very low bodyfat is not conducive to a long life. So I am going to take a hint from the bear and try to accumulate a bit more bodyfat just in case of emergency needs, hibernate a bit on the couch with a big bag of potato chips and watch more Astro! |

Sudden death syndrome may sound vague and uncharted but it is nothing new. Genetically some people are just unfortunate to have irregularities in their hearts mainly, that cause sudden death when the heart is placed under extreme exertion which is why it mainly occurs in athletes. From hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, marfan syndrome and aortic anomalies. We know the reasons but the problem is that these genetic disorders are sometimes hard to spot in general fitness check-ups that the athletes usually undergo and need more extensive testings. It's a sad thing and I know because I was very close to an up and coming basketball player who IMO could've been one of the best Malaysian players but he had to abandon his dream when his dad collapsed when exercising and was diagnosed with HCM. In the case where a father has HCM, the likelihood his sons will have it too is 50%. He got checked and found out he had it. Career over in an instant but I guess it's better than dying. The incidences of sudden death may seem to be more now maybe because of the higher level of athleticism in the modern age...it's a theory only.
Hahaha now I know I've strayed from the topic when I go into the topic of sudden death syndrome. |
