Ms Chia Leng Yau, a student from the Business Dept, is suffering from leukemia. The Help Joint Student Council, under the leadership of Loh KK, has decided to raise funds by collecting donations from staff, students and the management to assist the family of Leng Yau in meeting some of her medical expenses. Each HELP UC club is also expected to donate some money for this good cause. Each donor is also encouraged to write a personal message for Leng Yau. The target is set at RM10,000.00.
I have just heard from Anna that Leng Yau is still in UMMC recuperating after the 4th round of chemotherapy and she will be discharged in a day or two.
To date, the family has spent RM70,000 (70 thousand) for her treatment and needs about RM200,000 (200 thousand) to do a bone marrow transplant if a suitable donor could be found.
Currently, Leng Yau's medication alone costs RM8,000 (8 thousand) per month excluding hospital fees.
So what me as the tennis club president has come up with is that I would be selling t-shirts and proceeds go to her fund.

we've so far collected rm18k through thestar and digi. other various collections still going on. leng yau is still undergoing treatment unfortunately donor still havent been found yet. Yet, her family aren't disclosing her blood type to our college. dunno y  |

the picture is at the link i provided above.. it's 100% cotton and price is rm30 per shirt or rm25 for 2 and above |
