Have you heard of songs that's like singing your life story? Songs that remind you of certain period of your life?

My pick at this moment;

Not ready to make nice - Dixie Chicks

Forgive, sounds good
Forget, I’m not sure I could
They say time heals everything but I’m still waiting

I’m through with doubt
There’s nothing left for me to figure out
I’ve paid a price, and I’ll keep paying

I’m not ready to make nice, I’m not ready to back down
I’m still mad as hell and
I don’t have time to go round and round and round
It’s too late to make it right, probably wouldn’t if I could
Cause I’m mad as hell
can’t bring myself to do what it is you think I should

I know you said, can’t you just get over it
It turned my whole world around and I kind of like it

I made my bed and I sleep like a baby
With no regrets and I don’t mind sayin’
It’s a sad sad story when a mother will teach her
Daughter that she ought to hate a perfect stranger
And how in the world can the words that I said
Send somebody so over the edge
That they’d write me a letter
Sayin’ that I better shut up and sing
Or my life will be over

I’m not ready to make nice, I’m not ready to back down
I’m still mad as hell and
I don’t have time to go round and round and round
It’s too late to make it right, I probably wouldn’t if I could
‘Cause I’m mad as hell
Can’t bring myself to do what it is you think I should
2 x

Forgive, sounds good
Forget, I’m not sure I could
They say time heals everything
But I’m still waiting

Note: Dixie Chicks wrote this song in protest of Bush's handling of Iraq issues. Their songs were taken off air during those period but their fans supported them all the way for they won the Grammys with this song.

Alone Again Naturally - Gilbert O'Sullivan

In a little while from now,
If I'm not feeling any less sour,
I promised myself to treat myself,
And visit a nearby tower ..........
And climbing to the top,
will throw myself off,
In an effort to make it clear to whoever,
What it's like when you're shattered .......
Left standing in the lurch,
At a church where people saying .....
My God that's tough she stood him up,
No point in us remaining .......
May as well go home,
As I did on my own,
Alone again naturally.

To think that only yesterday,
I was cheerful bright and gay.
Looking forward to-
Who wouldn't do- the role I was about to play.
but as if to knock me down,
Reality came around,
And without so much as a mere touch,
Cut me into little pieces.
Leaving me to doubt, Talk about God in His mercy,
Who, if He really does exist,
Why did He desert me?
And in my hour of need,
I truly am indeed,
Alone again naturally.

It seems to me that there are more hearts,
Broken in the world that can't be mended,
Left unattended, what do we do?
What do we do?

Alone again naturally .....

Looking back over the years,
And whatever else that appears.
I remember I cried when my father died,
Never wishing to hide the tears.
And at sixty-five years old,
My mother, God rest her soul,
Couldn't understand why the only man,
She had ever loved had been taken.
Leaving her to start, with a heart so badly broken,
Despite encouragement from me,
No words were ever spoken.
When she passed away,
I cried and cried all day,
Alone again naturally .....
Alone again ................................. naturally

It's a very good song when you're driving in the middle of the rainy night listening to Light n Easy alone. Two thumbs up.

Imagine is my personal favourite and an excellent choice.I watched a musical documentary some years ago in which Imagine was ranked the best song ever written in the pop category! Very Happy Against All Odds is another wonderful pick!

Imagine - John Lennon

Imagine there's no Heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

This song motivated me to learn guitar in younger years..
but i gave up when i started my buzy life in college day.... Crying or Very sad

Eric Clapton - Tears In Heaven

Would you know my name
If I saw you in heaven
Will it be the same
If I saw you in heaven
I must be strong, and carry on
Cause I know I don't belong
Here in heaven

Would you hold my hand
If I saw you in heaven
Would you help me stand
If I saw you in heaven
I'll find my way, through night and day
Cause I know I just can't stay
Here in heaven

Time can bring you down
Time can bend your knee
Time can break your heart
Have you begging please
Begging please

(instrumental)

Beyond the door
There's peace I'm sure.
And I know there'll be no more...
Tears in heaven

Would you know my name
If I saw you in heaven
Will it be the same
If I saw you in heaven
I must be strong, and carry on
Cause I know I don't belong
Here in heaven

Cause I know I don't belong
Here in heaven

OCEAN DEEP by Sir CLIFF RICHARD

Love , can't you see I'm alone
Can't you give this fool a chance
A little love is all I ask
A little kindness in the night
Please don't leave me behind
No , don't tell me love is blind
A little love is all I ask
And that is all
Ooh love , I've been
searchin' so long
I've been searchin' high and low
And little love is all I ask
A little sadness when you go
Maybe you'll need a friend
Only please don't let's pretend
A little love is all I ask
And that is all
** I wanna spread my wings
But I just can't fly
As a string of pearls
The pretty girls go sailin' by
## Ocean deep
I'm so afraid to show my feelings
I have sailed a million ceilings
Solitary room

Ocean deep
Will I ever find a lover
[ Lyrics provided by www.mp3lyrics.org ]
Maybe she has found another
And as I cry myself to sleep
I know this love of mine I'll keep
Ocean deep
Now , can't you hear when I call
Can't you hear the word I say
A little love is all I ask
A little feelin' when we touch
Why am I still alone
I've got a heart without a home
A little love is all I ask
And that is all

Repeat **
Repeat ##
I'm so lonely , lonely , lonely
(Ocean deep)
On my own in my room
I'm so lonely
(Ocean deep)
I'm so lonely , I'm so lonely....

Michael Jackson - We Are the World

There comes a time
When we head a certain call
When the world must come together as one
There are people dying
And it's time to lend a hand to life
The greatest gift of all

We can't go on
Pretending day by day
That someone, somewhere will soon make a change
We are all a part of
God's great big family
And the truth, you know love is all we need

[Chorus]
We are the world
We are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So let's start giving
There's a choice we're making
We're saving our own lives
It's true we'll make a better day
Just you and me

Send them your heart
So they'll know that someone cares
And their lives will be stronger and free
As God has shown us by turning stone to bread
So we all must lend a helping hand

[Chorus]
We are the world
We are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So let's start giving
There's a choice we're making
We're saving our own lives
It's true we'll make a better day
Just you and me

When you're down and out
There seems no hope at all
But if you just believe
There's no way we can fall
Well, well, well, well, let us realize
That a change will only come
When we stand together as one

[Chorus]
We are the world
We are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So let's start giving
There's a choice we're making
We're saving our own lives
It's true we'll make a better day
Just you and me

Very Happy
