What is IPL? I had a cousin with very bad case of acne until the doctor got to prescribe antibiotics for it. I think just try to keep away from oily food , drink lots of water, sufficient exercise and rest, try not to get too stressed out and use unperfumed soap should help.

Sometimes it is what you put into your body that affects the skin. I used to have very bad skin condition before. I went to a lot of facials and used expensive skincare products before, but it just merely controls and never recovered. And over time these treatments and products were eating into my savings. And slowly I realized that I'm merely treating the symptoms and not the root cause. So, I changed a bit of my diet, take food supplements and exercise. Within months, my skin has improved dramatically and I have almost stopped my trips to the beauty saloon for the facial. And for the first time ever, what I think is not possible for me(which is having a clear skin) has become a reality. So, remember to add exercise regime and balanced diet to your lifestyle.

chessgal, go try kuei lin koh (tortoise jelly). You eat today, tomorrow you can feel your skin is softer and less dry, its really effective. You can buy it from Chinese medicine shops. Just give it a try, its not expensive and you wont regret it.
In Chinese medical theory, kuei lin koh is to 'ching took'(clear up toxins in the body) resulting in better complexion and clearer skin.

Drink more water, dont eat too much fried and greasy foods, stay away from belacan & chili, try to eat more vegetarian food (nowadays easy to find vegetarian chap fan(economy rice)). Its also good for your health.

I seriously think kuei lin koh (tortoise jelly) can give Estime a run for its money. Anyway kuei lin koh is good for your health too.
