Day 1- (Lunch & Dinner)
~ Pick up from your hotel at 0730 hours then depart for Kinabalu Park’s headquarters. Overland journey will take about 2 hours passing by vast paddy fields with water buffaloes along the sideways. The Park’s Headquarters is 88 kilometers away from the city of Kota Kinabalu. Highways and sealed roads made the Park easily accessible. It is situated on the southern boundary of Kinabalu Park, at an elevation of 1,563m (5,128 feet).
~20 minutes before the Park’s headquarters a brief stop at the Nabalu market which is famous for its local handmade bags and souvenirs. Experience socializing with the local peoples of indigenous tribes and be amazed with their friendliness and warm welcome.
~Upon arrival at the Headquarters, depart to the starting point of the guided walk to the botanical garden. The park’s ranger will guide you through astonishing variety of flora and fauna that ranges over 4 climate zones; from rich lowland dipterocarp forest through the montane oak, rhododendron, to the coniferous forests, to the alpine meadow plants, and to the stunted bushes of summit zone. The mountain is famous for its many carnivorous plant and orchid species, most notably Nepenthes rajah. It is also home to a multitude of endemic animal species, including the Kinabalu Giant Red Leech and Kinabalu Giant Earthworm.
~ After the tour, proceed to the poring hot springs for the canopy walkway. An option for a 15 minutes walk towards the waterfall for a breathtaking experience of the cool sensation air from the mountain itself.
Dip yourself at the Japanese style sauna which produces hot sulphur believed as an ailment for the skin disease or head for the swimming pool. Late afternoon, transfer to your hotel for check in & overnight stay.
Day 2 – (Breakfast)
~ Wake up & transfer to kota kinabalu for your transfer out.
