how to tell if he/she is gay/lesbian?

it's pretty hard to tell actually.

i have friends who are gays and lesbians.i must admit true gays and lesbians are nothing like what you see and watch in movies.there are exactly just like you and me.if you think they cross dress like the typical mak nyah or behave like a tom boy you are dead wrong.

the first time i met most of them,i couldn't tell their sexual orientation either until you really get to know them.most of them like to hang out with their own gang.gays prefer to visit gay saunas and gay bars while lesbians like to hang out at lesbian clubs or beauty centres.

bee chuen is right.if you wanna know without asking,then all you can do is just to observe them.

its hard to tell.. and its embrase to ask.
i got some frends, knew them for 1-2years.. then only find out they are one of them... sometimes just abit hard to believe.. cant really tell from outside... but after for so long then only knew the truth... errrrr.... need sometimes to "re-override" again the feeling towards tat person.. sometiems accidently fall in love with gay Laughing

cos most of them is handsome.. caring n loving.. Shocked

i'm not if i'm right to say this, but just my thoughts, i heard of this somewhere. forgot the source.

there is an inner women inside all of us.

Men who are gay, are mostly MEN who found their inner women, to an extent that they feel that they are actually a women trapped in a mans body, thus, being in a gay relationship, would mean that the partner may either be a MAN who found his inner MAN too much that he is fascinated only with MEN, or that he too has found his inner women to an extent that only the people of the same sex drive is right for that person. same goes with women.

anyone heard of this before?

well lovepark,for your friend's case it could be because of the previous hurt or dissappointment.sometimes ppl are so deeply hurt by their past relationship to the extent that they are completely turn off by the opposite sex and prefer to seek comfort with ppl of the same sex.

one some cases yes, agree with goey that they would have a huge disappointment or deep hurt that it causes them to not want to be in a relationship with the opposite sex. but on the Abnormal Psychology point of view, its a sexual abnormality that people tend to do that. either being gay/lesbian or bisexual.

on the Biological point of view, the X chromosome could be more than the Y or vice-versa. either way, its imbalanced.

some would be because of the Changing Gender Identity means babies who were born with inconclusive sex organs. example, A was born with tiny penis but no testicles. so the family raises him as a goy. B same case, but the family raised as a girl. eventually when they reach puberty, when these "girls" were found to have male chromosomes, some of these boys would have the female chromosomes, thus, either they'd choose to remain as a girl (get surgery for the vagina and hormones for the breast) or remain as a boy. some would remain as "unknown" therefore being a Bisexual person.

tragic case would be that the doctors accidentally did something to the sexual organs thus having to operate.

so, when u raise ur kids, dont give girls trucks and guns and make them wear blue, and dont let boys play with dolls and masak-masak and dress them in pink. although there is no rules stating these would make them turn out opposite, but it is true. studies were conducted and showed that from a young age, boys would prefer trucks guns and blue, while girls prefer dolls, masak masak and pink.

well,another factor why gays became gays and les became les is because of their upbringing.

some were abused by their father as a child or were severely neglected by their father and grew up surrounded by sisters and women and therefore it sort of changes their perspective and views on life.the same thing goes for les as well.

for me,that is the most tragic thing that could have happened, as all these could have been prevented and avoided,if only parents knew and recognise their role as a parent.

yup. not absolute. but it's one way of identification among the gays. if not mistaken, it's like a symbol in US or somewhere la but the influence spread to here oso lo.

But I suppose the biggest misconception of gays would be to think that they are soft,poorly educated or like to cross dress.
