| yes, you can also hide your SSID, block the mac address, unfortunately kismet are way too advanced to sniff all your wifi traffic |

yes you can do it, linux o/s are available in public domains, just download and start using it.
but please do not abuse your free wifi, if you intend to sucks bandwidth, run video streaming and download torrent all the time then please go and get your own streamyx line. This are intended for light users..
