Public Forum on Heart Scans, Angioplasty and Stents - All You Need to Know On New Advances in the Treatment of Heart Disease
Heart disease has been the number one killer in Malaysia since 1970. (source: Ministry of Health, Malaysia).
Prevention or rather reduction of cardiovascular risk is now possible, while those at high-risk who have hypertension, diabetes or previous cardiovascular incidents have more options for treatment, today.
Dr. Yee Kok Meng, a renowned cardiologist at Pantai Medical Centre, will be holding a public forum on Saturday, February 18, 2006 at Dewan Pantai, Ground Floor, Pantai Medical Centre Bangsar from 2.30pm to 3.30pm on new advances in the treatment of heart disease.
He will be covering topics such as heart scans, angioplasty and stents, to help members of the public better understand the disease and the treatment options available.
Admission is free and comprehensive cardiovascular risk screening will be provided to those attending at no charge, beginning from 1.30pm.
