Hey all, I'm going to be working at Gxm Studios in PJ next summer. I've never been out of Canada before,
so I expect this will be a breath of fresh air! Does anyone have any tips for a guy who's never even been to
a big city before? Nevermind a far-away big city?
I will be learning Malay like a madman before next summer, but it looks like there is a high percentage of
english speakers too. How well do you guys think I'll get by with 4 months of Malay?
Good to meet you all.
By the way, how is Petaling Jaya pronounced? "pay-ta-ling"? Soft J in jaya?
Now you are the lucky one...ahaaaaaaaaaa From one beautiful country to another. No need to learn Malay as English is spoken by almost if not all, just be sure to read up sbout their customs.

Make sure you only bring your summer cloths. It is summer all the time, perhaps it can get terribly humid over here compare to Canada. You would expect the weather like New Orleans or Florida during Summer. That's right, you don't have to worry about learning Malay, a few words of Malay may help, I am pretty sure you can survive just with English. Besides, a few words of Chinese would help too... Have a nice journey to PJ.
