Hi All, i just bought a HP Compaq Presario C700 (C749TU). According to the HP support team, this model is designed for Win Vista. Therefore, the HP web site only provide Vista Driver for download and you cannot find any Win XP driver for this notebook model in HP web site. After search in Google, i found the other C700 series driver from here ->
All the drivers can be installed, just the speaker + mic + earphone is Not Working Properly. The speaker is no problem & got sound, but the mic cannot b used. When using earphone, you can hear the sound from earphone and speaker too. SigH! I have called HP person, but they said many ppl complaint this problem, but HP support team still cannot solve this problem. :stars:
I suspect the driver is not suitable. Any Expert can assist me? Thanks a lot!

Mine is Compaq Presario F731AU which means is a F700 series. Im having the same problem like yours because I'm not installing Vista on it. Say "NO" to Vista. But Im still struggling to get all the drivers...
The same thing applies. Ask the shop where you bought your laptop to provide you with the Windows XP drivers if possible. Good luck. Or you can try googling for drivers online. I believe there a few blogs which provide you with those drivers that you need.
Dear all, I'm just bought the notebook like u all, thanks to all your help i manage to install the notebook almost perfectly but currently i'm having a problem that i can't find the driver for it..
Can anyone tell me where to get the driver for the wireless funtion on the notebook?
Another problem i'm facing is under the device manager, 1 is showing as Other Devices- SM Bus Controller..
Hi, 'm not sure which 1 is chipset controller, pls advise!! Do I donwload all the drive from the add u mentioned ?? and than install it again ?? Pls advise..thanks!!
