Hi all,
Been reading jobs ads both online & in newspapers. Some of the positions require the candidate to be a certified Six Sigma Black Belt holder. I know there is yellow, green, black & master black belt to the Six Sigma hierarchy, but how to know if it is suitable for someone? What kinda industry would this course benefit the most? Where to enroll for a course like this? How much would it cost? How long is the duration?
Sharing of experience from any Six Sigma holders out there is highly appreciated...
If the kind of work you do involves processes, Six Sigma is applicable. This can be in manufacturing, financial services, logistics and even Human Resources. There are also new Six Sigma methodologies that focuses on new product development.
Motorola is the originator of Six Sigma and offers such training to the public through Motorola University. To find out further, check out the following website: http://www.motorola.com.cn/muasia/Certification.html
If you want to be contacted, pm me with your contact, I'll get the appropriate Motorola University personnel whom I know personally to contact you. I know that public programs are offered in Malaysia (KL) but not sure whether any is planned for Singapore.
By the way, I'm currently working in Motorola and am just a certified Six Sigma Yellow Badge.
