i feel sad when i watch titanic.. expecially some of them.. like the Capten.. he don wan to leave.. wan to die also choose to die in the ship.. and the mother with 2 child.. was touching and abit funny when they know the ship already going to sink.. they still playing the music around to claim down their passenger...
add on to yick's true love story between Rose and Jack... they only knew each other for 2-3days in the ship.. and he willing to die for her.. and rose choose to jump back to the ship bcos of Jack even she has the chance to leave the sinking ship  |

well.. you`re wrong! and damn it, its not at a ppuppy stage 
more like some old dog kena langgar by a large truck stage.
if i was at puppy stage, i will say i looooveeee she`s all that ( although i have to admit, i watch it because the girl is cute)
sigh, like i said before, i didn`t cry, i was touched by stardust.
for me, the Titanic was your typical hollywood romance movies well excluding the tragedy part of course.
for me the movie is not about love. its a romance movie, like most romance movies . its a wish fulfilment type of stories. and this one is a typical hollywood romance stories. a rich gal falls for the poor guy? willing to die bravely for their lovers? a guy/gal who show another side of life? fall in love in 3 days?
all of them are wish fulfillment type stories. its no different than stories like the geek who goes to another world/time/place and become heroes
if you say stardust is the same thing, sure, i admit that... a bit, but notice that tristan doesn`t go for the rich girl at the end, tristan was trembling when facing the witches, he stumbles and clumsy. yvainne doesn`t have anything except for her heart granting immortality. and for tristan she wasn`t even pretty compare to victoria.
while the ending is your typical hollywood movies,(which is different for the book, where tristan dies of old age, and yvainne live alone forever), the movie use classic greek theather like ending where becoming a star means that they live a meaningful life together until the day they died
titanic as a romantic movie, is your typical hollywood romance movie, ignore the romance part between jack and rose, is a great disaster movie.
about keeping the promise part, ok that`s it, but other than that?
then i am not surprised if people nowadays don`t know about love since they think true love is just like what is shown in your typical hollywood romance movie.
i don`t know about you, but i uphold my promise event if i am not in love.
you don`t need love to uphold a promise, all you need is to care about someone/it.
another great movie about love is The Village and it is not about monster like most people think. |
