Well, I don't mind going for the 5th climb of Mount Kinabalu, I'm from KK actually, I do know ppl who organize mount climbing activities. So if u guys need any enquiries, I can help.

Basically Back-packing in KK is not that expensive, but if u r keen of back-packing, by all means might as well as you back-pack the whole of Sabah.

Take a week to 10 days off, that would be enough for u to explore the major places in Sabah like Sepilok Orang Utan sanctuary, Croc farm, Kundasang Highlands, Danum Valley, Poring Hot Spring n jungle trekking, Manukan Island (KK), Sipadan Island(Semporna), Gomantong Caves, and Mount Kinabalu Climb during the final 3 days before leaving Sabah.

If time is short, then just go for the Island trips here and Mount.K climb.

Always schedule mount.K climb at the final 3 days of our Sabah trip because especially for 1st-timers, u'll be very very exhausted after climbing down.
