Sat, ntv7, 5.30pm? That is in Japanlah, not HK. HK production only...
Yeah, too much money of the japanese to do this kind of business.. _________________
If I have that kind of money, I will most likely put up one of the following:
1. Barbershop where men can get a haircut, a massage, foot spa, pedicure and manicure. I would employ Thais and Filipinos since most Malaysians are not really good in providing services. No offense but I think this is one area where Malaysians do not excel.
2. A legitimate Thai massage spa employing mostly Thai women (no hanky-panky). I think with cheaper labor, I can lower overhead costs and therefore bring down the prices. Massage services here in Malaysia are just so expensive.
3. A beer garden. Basically, just a big place with large tables where people can drink beer without paying exorbitant prices. I can probably import non-alcoholic beer to cater to the Muslim customers. Nice place to hang out with friends.
4. A singles bar where the main objective of those who will go is to hook up. I will set up dating games every night and encourage people to mingle.
I haven't studied the costs of putting up these businesses nor the ROI but I think there will be a market for these here in Malaysia.

Actually ..some salon in Malaysia did have such service... Its all in one.... I saw it once in Alor Setar..many years ago. But Not sure whether still there.

There is a Thai Village in City Square plaza where they employ Thai for Thai massage. Not many ppl go there... cos Not hanky-panky and not many local people go for massage spa all the time...

Beer Garden... Quite hard to achieve because beer cost is not cheap also.
Licensing might be an issue also for such big place... (underground money also must be paid). So it might not be cost effective. Have to see the figures only know whether it can sustain profits.
4. A singles bar where the main objective of those who will go is to hook up. I will set up dating games every night and encourage people to mingle.
There are company like ICE Breaker doing such event but on weekly and monthly basis in pub or bar. The problem with such company face is that not all the singles in Malaysia willing to go for such program unless they are too desperate.. (either for marriage or sex). But again.. if you hold every night, you need to have lots of participant.. and there might be possible where Sex Predator look for easy sex.
Again.. figures will determine whether it is possible to be profitable..
Actually no need such bar.. because local pub already has the chances to get hook.. look at PJNET adult section on ONS....

ha... forgot to highlight all the bold answer... have modified and now the answer is in bold form.
This is to answer Juendigo's idea... it is actually available from 1 to 2 in Malaysia.. its just not concentrade in one state or one area.... 3 and 4 might go agains the law...
People that are in biz i believe does come up with lots of ideas.. but many didn't realise is because of law... which the case 3 and 4 might be because of law which prevent them from starting.
Lsat year my ex partners and I try to bring in a new services using SMS to collect money through local Telco. Howvever, it cannot be realise because MCMC (malaysia law) doesn't permit collcetion from local TELCO on SMS charges to be more that RM10 because of Fraud Prevention.
Other countries did allow but No Malaysia.. So the whole project has to be scrap.

My cousin in UK always did that and move house every 2 years. Because the house paid by buyer is escalated price after the renovation and decoration.
However, I doubt it works in malaysia. No matter how you turn it around, the price will go up if the location is good... and it will stagnant there if the location is bad.

Thats what I'm saying "a lot of hard work". I think irregardless of the country you are in,; Malaysia, Singapore, India or wherever.. location, plan and what you put in the house are very important. What do you expect when you put a RM1/pc floor tiles and want the house to sell at good price? _________________ Goodbye my lover, goodbye my friend...

Well.. I believe the hard work lies in finding the buyer that is willing to pay high price for your house.
However, for malaysian mentality, it is very seldom people willing to pay high price for renovated house.
For myself, I would look for the price given by valuer, and from there I will negotiate downward and not upward. If the house is renovated, I would consider it as a bonus only but not a must.
You can read a lot of malaysian buying property tips and mentality in azizi ali website..

For your Info,
All Malaysia State Law except DBKL restrict such entertainment up to 1am on weekday and 3am on weekend.
Everyone already in the Entertainment and sports industry would like to have 24x7. But the State law doesn't permit 24x7.
Else we would already have 24x7 on many things.
Mamak restaurant, according to one friend of mine (the boss), they operates 24x7. If the enforcer comes, he just bribe them. Hel told me that only those restaurant that receive A Status can operate 24x7. And you have to know people inside and pay $$$$$$$$ to get the A status.
