What format are the files? Are they like .000 .001 .002? or .tmp? Are they data or binary files? If they are data files and the filesize is not too big then try to open them in notepad or wordpad. You may still be able to recover some important information. Smile

I cant help you with excel files. For that you may have to ask your TaiKaJieh waiwai to help you.

For word files just try to open the .tmp files in any text editor. You can go on the net to d/l text editors that can deal with huge filesizes. Depending on how you recovered the files, they may have become corrupted to a certain degree so please dont expect the files to be 100% and you can just click on them and they will run/open.

u can try the method provide by yipck, but during this period i advice u not to download any thing or try to make it minimal as possible, because whenever you delete files in your com, they are not realy totally deleted, they will still remain somewhere in the hard disk, wait till new data come in the replace the particular space then ur data will be totally lost, not even recover tools manage to undelete ur files.
ohh yeah if files that u recover cant be open which mean ur file is in bad condition,in the case i don know how to fix it liao

I think yip and demonick solution is right. Bcoz there's a certain software tat they revert back your machine to a certain date tat u preferred. Your OS can do tat too...but I forgot how? Better dun try OS if suddenly u hit all reformatting. Tat will cost u horrendous amount of hair pull.
