I am also interested but need to clarify the following:
1. Are the PC's in working condition?
2. How to take delivery, is it self collection? Where are the PC's located?
3. What do you mean by "*Selection will be based on draw. "? Is it like a lucky draw?
Thank you. |

waiwai you better enter lucky draw and keep the PC for your own use back in your hometown. Trust me, windows 95 is really really obsolete, cannot use anymore. I know cos until Aug 2006 I was still using windows 98SE and I was really having a hard time with it. win95 means you got problems installing Streamyx as it is not meant for networking. At least if you win the lucky draw and it is a Pentium III PC you can install winXP and connect to Streamyx with no problems. Nowadays the dsl modem is so cheap(RM75 can get already) better throwaway your home win95 PC. Honestly win95 cannot use already. I using win98SE till last year I think I have formatted my hdd and re-installed win98SE more than 30 times! cos the OS is unstable.
Go in for the lucky draw and keep the Pentium III for use in your home. Just buy a dsl modem and then can throw away your win95 PC or better still sell it to volcanne for RM150! |

Hahaha,,.. firstly, never throw away any kind of electrical appliances espcially computers.... all electronics/electrical is very toxic to the enviroment, u must recycle them... u dont need to pick me as the recycler, but please do dispose of it corectly. for more info on the toxic contents please visit http://www.recycling.com.my/products_electronic.php
it is just some basic info....
ok, if you do not like to sell it for scrap there is always something else you can do.... firstly, u can send it to community centres like the Beautiful Gate foundation for the disabled in PJ... they have a lot of other site you can sent the items too, but the main collection centre is in SS2 Pj , check out http://beautifulgate.my.diip.net/ for more info. if the items you send there cant be repaired for use in their homes, they will be sold for recycling.
so, at least you know where the waste goes too and you will have a better enviroment for the future....
the only thing that cant be recycled is........ wasted time....
