Are you a nice guy...?

I am. I'm a nice guy. I thought I was ok being a nice guy. But apparently NOT. My marriage is going down the drain because I was a nice guy. I didn't know then that being a nice guy is really BAD.

Luckily I came across this book "No More Mr. Nice Guy" by Dr. Robert Glover (www.nomoremrniceguy.com). I read through the book and I thought the book was really about me. It's really me. Me I didn't know about. The stupid Nice Guy.

So, I'm now learning to become the real new ME. No more mr nice guy. I'm now learning to:
* Stop seeking approval.
* Get the love and sex I want.
* Make MY needs a priority.
* Get as much as I give.
* Build healthy relationships with men.
* Live up to my potential in work and career.

To be able to become ME again, Dr. Robert Glover suggests in his book that I find a support group. Some other Mr. Nice Guys who want to be better and can support each other to become real MEN.

So, if you know any such group please let me know because I'd like to join in. But, if there is none I'd like to invite you to start a new Club with me. The No More Mr. Nice Guy Men's Club.

Hi Sheryl, Lanny, & Lovepark,
Those were actually the first reaction I had when I saw the title of the book. But, actually the book is not about being selfish or hate at all... It's about being true to yourself.

Check out the website ...

The book is actually very good for a couple and women as well. I wish I found the book before my marriage failed. I wish my partner had read it as well.

Here are quotes from the website:

“Don't be fooled by the title. This book is about much more than you might think! It is an important addition to our understanding of men, women and marriage." Michael Gurian, Author of THE WONDER OF BOYS

“My male clients talk glowingly about the book and often report seeing themselves on every page. Every man and every woman should read this book!” Anne Stirling Hastings, Ph. D., Author of AMERICA’S SEXUAL CRISIS

I don't agree with you lovepark.
If you know that there's something wrong with you and if you know that because of that you screwed up your life, then you have to make an effort to change yourself for the better.

The book showed me what and where my weaknesses are. I intend to improve myself and I need friends to share and to go through the learning process.

You may know some people like me, nice guys who are not happy and their partners who are miserable. You may do them and their partners a favor if you point them the book before it's too late. Dr. Glover actually saved his marriage because of the change he made.

Hey, i agree as well with Denifish. Somehow, from past relationships, knowing where u wen wrong can help u NOT repeat the same mistake.
And talkin bout the mistakes and regretting bout it truly will reveal at the person u have become.

Good Stuff ..

puttin urself 1st b4 any1 is good provided u achieve happiness in wat u do. I use to put every1 needs b4 me but is not healthy n i lost myself like how dennifish did.

Some how learning to follow ur desire can be a great feel but remember u cant overdo it else u will feel very lonely in long run as no1 like to be around u anymore. Is a give n take thingy.Sometimes, a man need to say "no" once awhile to show how manly he is....

When u truly belief urself, the confidence will shine in the way u project urself to ppl.The person tat alwiz get the attention will alwiz be the person who know wat he/she wants in life.

Good luck in ur tranformation Dennifish.
