I think if u have alot free time to spare for searching the drivers it will be ok. Or else u have to installed Windows Vista and u can get all the drivers on HP website. But, while you're buying the notebook, I don't think they'll supply you the Vista OS Installation CD. So, my conclusion...It is not a good buy. But if you do still wanna buy it because of its good specs and you are confident can find all the XP drivers for it.

Do share it with me Razz Very Happy

At the moment, it is my Ethernet (the darling for streamyx), thats my main priority. Erm...sumore...My audio, wireless and webcam. After I get the driver for my ethernet then my searching for other drivers will be much easy. Im using USB LAN tho.

Guys, if you seriously need help in obtaining the drivers for your laptop, do PM me. I'll try to help. Sometimes it's not that the drivers do not work, but it's a matter of the sequence in installing the drivers. Most HP Compaq Presario laptops require a proper sequence of installation for specific drivers. Cheers! Very Happy

Oh by the way, please state your exact laptop model in your PM. Thank you.

For the C700 Series, you can refer to this website:

http://www.kelvinloke.com/2007/11/16/installing-drivers-for-compaq-presario-v3614au-windows-xp/

They have almost the exact specification. Hope this helps.

The V3614AU model does not have the built-in webcam so at the present moment, I cannot provide any assistance.
